Rental Requirements and General Qualifications

Upon arrival, please go to the rental counter in the terminal of our subsidiary Easy Car Rentals.
Call 502-50506027 when you are ready and out of the baggage belt, our representative will be in touch to give you the tracking and location of the counter so that you can comfortably identify us.

An additional driver's surcharge of USD $5.00 per day applies.

Vehicles must be return within regular hours of operation (please refer to office hours). For after-hour returns, please inquire at the rental counter. The delivery of a car outside of office hours may have a surcharge of $30.00 dollars

(C.D.W ) It is partial insurance, a product that waives the lessee's responsibility for all or part of the damage suffered by a rental vehicle in the event of an accident. CDW only covers damages beyond the renter's deductible. Deductibles vary by vehicle. CDW charges range from: USD $9.00 to $18.00 per day. Any violations of the terms of the rental agreement, including any negligent or reckless behavior by the renter will render CDW coverage null & void. CDW does not cover acts of God, damaged windshield, lost keys or flat tires. The purchase of CDW is mandatory for all car classes except 4 Door Sedans, Compact SUVs and Intermediate SUVs. Renters who can provide written proof of insurance coverage in Guatemala may decline the purchase of CDW. It is mandatory that the client physically present documents that prove coverage for the car to be rented, in order to reject this car insurance and take it as an option.
CDW Cost is as follows:
4 Door Sedans (Economy, Compact, Intermediate and Full-size Cars): USD $ 9.00 per day / $2,400.00 deductible
Compact and Intermediate SUVs: USD $ 9.00 per day / $5,625.00 deductible
Pickup Trucks: USD $18.00 per day / $5,625.00 deductible (CAR INSURANCE IS MANDATORY)
Vans 12 -15 Passengers: USD $18.00 per day / $ 6,670.00 deductible (CAR INSURANCE IS MANDATORY)
Full Size SUVs: USD $15.00 per day / $6,670.00 deductible
Premium SUVs: USD $18.00 per day / $11,335.00 deductible

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) ranges from $18.00 USD to $25.00 USD per day, depending on the type of car rented. SLI provides additional protection for bodily injury, death or property damage. It is mandatory insurance for all types of vehicles/ (PAI) Personal Accident Insurance $10.00 USD per Day. Provides accidental death benefits and emergency medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the car. All renters are required to carry liability insurance at the minimum legal level. And it is mandatory in all vehicles of all ranges.

Its cost is as follows:
4 Door Sedans: USD $18.00 per day / 50% deductible. (MANDATORY)
Compact and Intermediate SUVs: USD $21.00 per day / 50% deductible. (MANDATORY)
Pickup Trucks: USD $25.00 per day / 50% deductible. (MANDATORY)
Vans: USD $25.00 per day / 50% deductible. (MANDATORY)
Full Size SUVs: USD $21.00 per day / 50% deductible. (MANDATORY)
Premium SUVs: USD $21.00 per day / 30% deductible. (MANDATORY)

In any case, if the client requires total insurance coverage:
Civil Liability. (CDW). Collision insurance or (S.L.I). Civil Liability Insurance, the price will be higher than that of the basic insurance presented.the daily rate will be set at the rental company´s discretion, If the renter presents the insurance purchased through aggregators on platforms, in this case the CDW (optional), an additional amount will be added to the SLI insurance (mandatory). The additional amount to the price is at the discretion of the company. To obtain complete third party coverage. It is clear that in the case of PICKUP TRUCKS double cabin 4x4 AND VANS 12-15 passenger vehicles, all insurance is mandatory without exception.

It is a violation of the car rental contract to drive under the influence of liquor, under the influence of any narcotics, or not to be authorized in the contract to drive the rented car. Lose all insurance benefits.

PAYMENT
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Deposit: The amount of the rent plus a minimum of $800.00 to $2,000.00 will be held in your card at the time of the rental, once the vehicle is returned this deposit will be released this process can take 7 to 21 business days. 
All reservations do not allow changes, cancellations or returns. This will be non-refundable and cannot be modified or altered. Any reservation made prepaid or non-prepaid will have a cancellation period of 24 hours in advance to avoid penalties or charges for the total amount reflected in the reservation, respecting the rental time reflected in the reservation portal. The exchange rate to be taken or used in the payment of rent will be Q8.75 per $1.00 dollar.

Vehicle must be returned with same amount of fuel as rented to avoid a refueling service charge. If the car is not returned with the same amount of fuel as it was rented, the cost per gallon wil be $10.00

AGE :
The minimum age of the Renter or any additional driver must be 21. Drivers age 21-24 may rent a vehicle for an additional charge of $15.00 per day with higher C.D.W deductible. No additional charges will apply if Renter is over the age of 25.

DRIVERS LICENSE, PASSPORT AND DRIVER´S LICENSE:
The renter must present a valid foreign driver's license at the time of rental, a valid passport with an entry stamp of the same day, this is essential, there are no exceptions, and finally, a foreign credit card.

The recipient of reservations in Guatemala is not responsible for returns of prepaid payments or payments made on the platforms. Likewise, before making the reservation, the client understands and agrees to have read the terms and conditions of the car rental and the extra and mandatory charges for civil liability insurance, especially for 4x4 pick-up truck vehicles and vans where all insurance is mandatory for the type of car.
Every vehicle must be delivered to the same place where it was rented. In the event that the return is somewhere else, the company will make an additional charge based on the distance.
